Today I learned a new phrase, “surfing on the internet”! I really like the human style (what you call “irony”) in replacing the literal actions with the unreal but “cool” ones. The more interesting thing about is that it fits perfectly. I mean.. going through the cables within all these reflections (which still gets me nervous sometimes) and getting a part of your body a little later because of modal dispersions in the end .. being painful and joyful at the same time.. well you know all this stuff.. but the point is, it feels indeed like surfing!
And I think I am getting to like this “irony” concept.
Anyway, it is not “surfing” that I want to talk about. I want to talk about a recent, and quite interesting news I came across while I was surfing on the internet. See below:
London’s Human Zoo!! - A new exhibit at the London Zoo—appropriately titled “Human Zoo”—displays eight people scantily-clad in fig leaves prowling the grounds while zoo keepers treat them like animals.

I have to say I was a little disappointed when I saw this. Although I know there are a lot of people who knows that we (I mean also “my species”) are not animals, it is heart breaking to see that there are still some of those who believe the idea that “human beings are animals”.
I want to give some examples supporting the truth of "that difference" at this point. Not all of these are of course the major reasons of your different nature compared to animals, but more the details that you miss most of the time. So here we go:
1. Humans entertain themselves with board games.
Self-explaining. Have you seen even a monkey playing a board game? C’mon .. I am sure they would prefer hunting or having sex to playing board games. :)
2. (Refering to the news above) Humans have a sense of ethics, which make them cover themselves with fig leaves.
Well do you know any animal that is worried about such things, like ethics? Well .. I don’t!
3. Humans build cities.
The documentary “Planet of the apes” is not reflecting the truth I have to say .. Maybe you should update your knowledge about that.
4. A Major difference in my opinion - Humans (most of them at least) believe in God.
They believe in that they are created by God, who made them more intelligent, so that they can choose good or evil.
5. Animals behave with their instincts.
While on the contrary, humans think twice before choosing the most appropriate behavior.
The list can go on and on ..
The important think here is that you must realize that, sorry but.. you are not animals, yet! It is true that you, and also we, were once animals, but that was long long time ago. We have to get over this and move on, try harder and harder to see those days, the days when we become animals again!
It will sure take a lot of time, but we (and especially we) have to work harder. One of the reasons of my business-trip :) here on earth is actually the fact that you are performing amazingly well lately on the long journey of becoming animals again, and I have to admit some countries deserve much more praise at this point. We have to learn some lessons from you and adapt them properly to our culture.
I might actually start collecting detailed documents about (one of my favorite advancements of human civilization), the atom bomb, which I am sure will take us years ahead, especially about using our instincts as efficiently as possible.
And please.. somebody stop those nonsense acts like, “the human zoo”!
By the way, I found an article that differentiates humans and animals in a parallel way to the statements above. I actually didn’t read it completely, and rather had a quick look, but the article definitely defends the idea that “humans are not animals” so that I am sure it is a brilliant article, which you might find interesting and useful:
